Grow as Disciples to Make Disciples

Community Light School of Discipleship (CLSD) is an online Bible study designed to help each of us grow as disciples to make disciples. This free series equips participants with the resources to go and make disciples wherever God has planted them. You can attend online via  livestream or in person at  Cross View Lutheran Church in Edina, MN.

The spring 2026  season of Community Light School of Discipleship runs from April 8 to May 20. Sessions are on Wednesdays from 6:30 – 7:25 PM (8:00 PM on-site) CST. 


Onsite – Attend Community Light School of Discipleship on Wednesday nights at Cross View Edina for the lecture, question and answer session, and small group discussion. 


Online – Lectures and Q&A with the presenter are livestreamed here on Wednesday nights.

GENESIS 1–11: FROM CREATION TO CONFUSION  
September 10 – November 19, 2025 (No class on October 15)

The first eleven chapters of the Bible lay the foundation for the rest of Holy Scripture. Plan to be fascinated and filled with faith as you learn how they relate to everything that follows—especially the Gospel according to John. 
Presenter — Dr. Reed Lessing, The Edwin F. and Esther L. Laatsch Chair of Old Testament Studies at Concordia University, St. Paul. Pastor Reed is also Cross View's Associate Pastor.


Answer Me This: Tough Questions for Christian Apologists

April 8–May 20, 2026

Join us for this class focused on Christian apologetics (a defense for the Christian faith, addressing doubts and questions using logic, history, philosophy, and scripture to demonstrate its truth and reasonableness).
